Build Better Bridge took a long winter nap after running for about two years. We want to re-open and are trying to serve members better than ever. In the past we featured guaranteed partners, hand records, free snacks and drinks, free lessons, zero tolerance policy enforcement, a cadre of competent directors, and a convenient location. We are adding a mentor program, more free special games, and some awesome re-opening specials. We are committed to Build Better Bridge!
For the first two months (yes, I mean all of May and all of June) any Life Master who adopts a Non Life master to bring to the game will get a free game. Oh, yes, and so will the NLM. Really, two free games and there is no play-together requirement. You can pre-arrange or meet in the lobby. The only requirement is to be kind! LMs are expected to take care of their “meal ticket” by asking NLMs about their game and nurturing their presence at BBB. We are expecting that nearly everyone can play free the first two months.
We are doing this ridiculous special to introduce our mentoring program. There will be information about how to be a mentor or how to get a mentor. You will also find out about what that involves and learn about getting more free games if you sign up as a mentor.
Our re-opening date is May 4 at 6:30 at the Country Inn and Suites at the airport exit. In the past, this location encouraged players from both Cedar Rapids and Iowa City (Waterloo, too, in fact) and this made for a fun mix of great players. Let’s all Build Better Bridge together!
