Michael J. Naab, 72, of Davenport, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at Genesis Medical Center, Davenport.

Michael was born on September 28, 1944 in Rock Island, third son of James T. Naab and Marjory R. Stanley Naab. He married Kurt Stevens on December 10, 2009 in Davenport after being life partners since 1977. Michael worked as a bookkeeper for Swan Engineering, Bettendorf for forty years. He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, Bettendorf, the Quad City Bridge Club and has been accredited as a Life Master Bridge Player since his college days. He had served as a board member of the Quad Cities Greyhound Adoption in the early 2000’s, and was an active member of the Quad City Cruisers Car Club. In the 1990’s he was part-owner of the Bishop’s Inn House Bed and Breakfast with Kurt and Investor and was a co-operator of the inn until its closing in 1994. Michael enjoyed RVing, being a devoted parent to two greyhounds, Pootie and Flash and in earlier years playing tennis. Survivors include his husband, Kurt Stevens; brothers, Thomas S. (Stephanie) Naab, Moline, Christian (Andrea) Naab, Rock Island; a sister in law, Marilyn Naab, Rock Island; and several nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James Naab and David Naab; and a sister in law, Sandra Naab-Muller.
