The Mt. Pleasant Sectional Tournament, held April 17-19, was a great success. Tournament chair Bonnie Kremer came up with a very creative idea: to award the out-of-town bridge club bringing the most players throughout the tournament with an ice cream social at their club.
The number one attending group was the Better Bridge Club of Cedar Rapids, directed by Jim and MaryAnn Boardman. University Duplicate Bridge Club of Iowa City, directed by Bob Otto, was a close second, so they are going to have an ice cream social as well. Congratulations to the lucky winners!
Tournament chairpersons, take note: sectional attendance was boosted by 25%!
