The Longest Day 2023: A Partnership Between ACBL and the Alzheimer’s Association

The Longest Day®, an annual Alzheimer’s Association® fundraising event, is the perfect opportunity to share your passion for bridge with the community while raising awareness of Alzheimer’s disease.

This year five clubs in our bridge unit will be holding fundraisers: Cedar Falls, Cedar Rapids, Dubuque, Iowa City and Waterloo. Flyers are available for The Longest Day event details in Cedar Rapids (Monday, June 19) and Iowa City (Thursday, June 22). Dubuque’s regular Tuesday game (June 20), and Cedar Fall’s regular Wednesday game (June 21), will be dedicated fundraising events. Waterloo will host an online, virtual game on Saturday, June 24.

When our loved ones are diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and other dementias, it can be a difficult, lonely journey. You can help families and disease sufferers to navigate this path. By participating in The Longest Day, you are making a big difference in the fight against Alzheimer’s. Your donations not only fund valuable research, but also fund a 24-hour support phone line for caregivers and patients, educational resources for communities and families and advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill.

Please consider helping us defeat this horrible disease by participating in Alzheimer’s games at our clubs for The Longest Day and/or donating to our fundraising team. Here are our fundraising pages:
