The Longest Day – Support the Alzheimer’s Foundation

The fight goes on!

That’s the way ACBL describes the new version of The Longest Day in the June issue of The Bridge Bulletin. Many clubs in Unit 163 have successfully participated in The Longest Day since ACBL partnered with the Alzheimer’s Foundation seven years ago. In addition to raising large amounts of money for Alzheimer, they were community building and bridge building events.

This year will look a bit different. We can still participate in this worthy cause through our virtual bridge club, Eastern Iowa Bridge. We will have four point-enhanced games on June 20. There will be three open games, at 10AM, 2PM and 6PM. In addition, there will be a limited points game (0-999 points) at 6 PM. (As with all limited games, you will need to be an ACBL member to participate.) There will be a $5 entry fee for each game, nearly all of which will go to the Alzheimer’s foundation.

In addition, there will be a raffle for prizes. Each of the six communities in our unit will have a prize winner. You will get a raffle ticket for each game that you play in with a bonus of two tickets if you donate though our Longest Day web site. Six $50 restaurant cards will be given out to a restaurant in each of the locales that you are representing.

To donate, visit our Eastern Iowa Bridge Longest Day web page.

Please help us raise money for this worthy cause!
